What is it?

Goal planning is always a good idea when thinking about your creative business.

It helps lay the foundation to creating a business plan and allows you to focus on achievable tasks without feeling overwhelmed.

Having a plan will help your creative enterprise thrive.

Who is it for?

This workshop is for Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole based artists, makers and creatives only. We will be prioritising individuals who have not yet recieved 12 hours of free training from Culture+


What you will go away with

This interactive workshop will help you write create a realistic plan that will cover immediate tasks, medium term goals as well as focus on a longer-term plan for your business.

It is the perfect foundation workshop before writing your own business plan.

You will also learn tips on how to manage your tasks day to day and how to network with other creatives to help you keep to your plan.

About Your Tutor

Culture+ Business Skills Coordinator Laura Mulhern has worked in the arts and culture sector in Dorset for over 12 years as an illustration agency director, freelance marketer and creative mentor. Having co-founded her own design and illustration agency Storiie, Laura has extensive knowledge in working as a broker between the arts and business communities.

What to Bring

You will be provided by with handouts and a goal planner so all you need to bring is a pen and your ideas for your business growth. Lunch and refreshments are included. Laptops and iPads are welcome but not essential. There is no fee for attendees but spaces are limited.

How to Book

  • Spaces are limited, only one place available per business
  • If you book and find that you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible and at least 48 hours prior to the workshop. This allows us to release the booking to others that are on a waiting list

This Culture+ workshop is specifically for artists and creative practitioners based in Dorset. Culture+ is funded by Arts Council England and the European Regional Development Fund. It is providing support for the creative industry strand of the Dorset Growth Hub programme lead by WSX Enterprise.
