This free interactive one-day workshop has a focus on how to sell your work and raise your profile online specifically using Instagram, Pinterest and Etsy.
Who is it for?
If you are an artist, illustrator or designer-maker based in Dorset, Bournemouth or Poole and keen to increase your online profile this workshop is for you.
You will need to have accounts already setup on Instagram, Pinterest and/or Etsy.
**Please note: this workshop will focus on the content development on each platform rather than its functionality. Attendees will be expected to have at least a basic understanding of each platforms functionality before signing up to the workshop.
What you’ll go away with
A range of useful insights and tips to consider when using each platform so you can increase your following, drive traffic to your website or Etsy shop and hopefully increase sales of your work.
We will also talk through a range of tips to use on the platforms to attract the attention of clients and commissioners.
There will also be an interactive part of the day where you will create a social media plan to help your get started with your business growth after the workshop.
About Your Tutors
Octavia Bromell – Tink (thanks to a childhood love of Peter Pan) is an illustrator based in Dorset. Combining analogue and digital techniques, she creates vibrant illustrations of the people and plants that dreams are made of. Octavia has built a successful following on Instagram, Pinterest and Etsy and will be sharing insight into the world of vlogging and selling and raising your profile online.
Octavia will be joined by Culture+ team member Laura Mulhern. Laura has worked in the arts and culture sector for over 12 years as an illustration agency director, business and arts marketing consultant and creative mentor.
Having co-founded her own arts marketing and illustration agency Storiie, Laura has extensive knowledge in working as a broker between the arts and business communities.

Laptops and iPads are welcome but not essential
If you are a Sole Trader please bring your Unique Tax Reference Number, if you own a registered company/organisation please bring your registration number.
We will be providing lunch and refreshments, please be sure that you let us know your dietary requirements on the Eventbrite Event Registration.
How to book
- Spaces are limited, only one place available per business.
- If you book and find that you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible and at least 48 hours prior to the workshop. This allows us to release the booking to others that are on a waiting list
