What is it?
Are you a musician, songwriter or band that wants to get more work and build your reputation as an artist? Do you want to discover ideas and techniques to help sell and promote your music, gigs and more? If so, then our Sales & Promotion for Musicians and Bands workshop is ideal for you.
Whether you are starting out, just do the local circuits, more of a composer rather than a performer, or wish to pursue a more professional career in music, we’ll help you find ways to get heard and booked for events.
This workshop will run over 2 days so as to allow enough time to cover all material. Both days will start at 10:00 (arrival from 09:30) and finish by 4pm
Who’s it for?
This one day workshop for Dorset, Bournemouth & Poole musicians and music makers will provide a whistle stop tour of all areas you should be thinking about when running a successful music practice.
What you’ll go away with
During the sessions you will have the opportunity to share challenges and opportunities with other musicians and music makers. You’ll get great ideas on how to maximise your online activity and receive loads of advice to take home and be amazed by the insights and resources you’ll take home.

About Your Tutor
This workshop is written and delivered by Culture+ Business Developer, Andrew Knutt.
Andrew is well seasoned creative industries professional with 25 years of experience. With a strong background in business, design, marketing, digital, the arts, Andrew is also an arts centre and venue owner and has worked with 100’s of musicians. He brings his passion for music and insight to this resourceful workshop.
What to bring
Pen and Paper for taking notes
Laptops and iPads are welcome but not essential
If you are a Sole Trader please bring your Unique Tax Reference Number, if you own a registered company/organisation please bring your registration number.
We will be providing lunch and refreshments, please be sure that you let us know your dietary requirements on the Eventbrite Event Registration.
How to book
- Spaces are limited, only one place available per business.
- If you book and find that you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible and at least 48 hours prior to the workshop. This allows us to release the booking to others that are on a waiting list
