What is it?

Visual artists getting to work in schools can be an important income strand – as well as crucial to every child’s education. This practical session will give tips on how to develop your child led approach to making practice for primary schools that links with the PSHE curriculum and strategies for marketing this to schools.

Do you sometimes feel like you’re churning out large numbers of lanterns or in schools with few ideas coming from the children?! Even barking orders from the front of the class?! Rosie Russell will facilitate a session to identify strategies to develop your business offer to schools that includes delivering practical, efficient and effective child-led approaches to technical making workshops with groups, in particular, schools, to support the curriculum guidelines around wellbeing and PHSE.

What you will go away with

Best practice tips on ways to present your offer to schools with suggestions on delivering child-led approaches for technical making that link to the primary curriculum.
