When Jasmine joined the Early Careers group she was working at Pavilion Dance South West as Dance Co-ordinator and doing freelance dance teaching, specialising in Parkinson’s Dance and Dementia; her ambition is to lead a successful dance venue organisation. She wanted to develop her networks and confidence to grow and progress towards this goal.
The Early Careers Network Programme compromises of business skills development, marketing and self-promotion, managing money – budgets, tax, evaluation, impact and diversity, leadership and presentation skills. This type of training is essential when it comes to running your own venue organisation, and helped Jasmine to gain the skills needed in order to progress forward with her career.
‘The network gave me the confidence to apply successfully for a new senior post. On my way to senior leadership …!!’
Jasmine developed the confidence to progress her career. She applied for and secured a promotion to Community Programme Coordinator, Forest Arts Centre, Hampshire https://www.forest-arts.co.uk/
