Whether you are a visual, digital or performing artist or craftsperson (indeed however you define yourself), responding to a creative brief or applying for an artist’s opportunity has always been competitive but with less opportunities and funding being more and more stretched, you could find your proposal is one of hundreds.

Who is it for?
This workshop is for Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole based artists, makers and creatives only. Those who have not yet recieved 12 hours of help from us will be prioritised

About Your Tutors
Sandy Kirkby is Freelance Curator and Producer for b-side
Sally Watkins is Freelance Curator and Social Engagement practitioner, b-side
They have been on selection panels for many open calls for b-side and other regional arts organisations – they have seen and read thousands of proposals. Their informal and warm style is underpinned by their generosity and experience as arts practitioners for over 20 years.
What to bring
You may wish to bring a laptop or iPad but not essential.
This workshop is free but spaces are limited. Lunch and tea/coffee is provided.
If you are based outside Dorset please call us before booking your place as only Dorset residents qualify for a place.
We will be providing lunch and refreshments, please be sure that you let us know your dietary requirements on the Eventbrite Event Registration.
How to book
- Spaces are limited, only one place available per business
- If you book and find that you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible and at least 48 hours prior to the workshop. This allows us to release the booking to others that are on a waiting list
