The Importance of Volunteers at Portland Museum

Our CEO David visited Portland Museum recently to learn about how important volunteers are to them. The volunteers play a vital part in protecting the museum’s heritage and play a big role in sharing it with visitors to the island.

Volunteers also benefit from helping out by having the opportunity to learn new skills such as being able to digitise the museum collections giving them skills in technology. It also provides them with the opportunity to socialise with each other and with members of the public.
